Panting with Patience
August 13, 2007: One of the reasons my leader chose me for his companion dog is that I am five years old, not a puppy. Because he has trouble walking or moving quickly, a puppy wouldn't have enough of what I already have plenty of--patience. Today on our walk, I was walking in front of him when he got slower and slower. So rather than going ahead or pulling him along, I just sat down and waited for him to catch up. It was easy for me to do and it helped him, too! That's the good thing about having patience. (Sorry puppies!)

Sophie from Texas would like to tell you that she is finally feeling better from her ordeal at the doggie dentist/doctor. They did pull some of her teeth plus take a cyst off her back leg. What an ordeal. Not only did it hurt for about 5 days, but she had to wear a big collar whenever her owners couldn't watch her carefully. Maybe her owners can get a picture of her with her big plastic collar. Not because she likes it but just to remember.
Hello Sheba! My name is Pongo and your leader is my leader's uncle! She went to visit you today and could not stop telling everyone how adorable you were! Next time your leader comes to visit my leader, maybe they will bring you and we can play together! Give your leader and his mate a big, slobbery kiss for me!
